A SOLO traveler was left terrified after staying in a hotel and being given a warning by a message written on the bathroom mirror.
Grace Garbe from Kansas City, Kansas, was on a business trip in Dallas, Texas, when the incident forced her to flee in the middle of the night.

The 23-year-old detailed "the scariest thing that has ever happened to her" in a TikTok video in which she explained the moment she saw the creepy message and how moving hotels did not help.
After returning to her hotel on the second day of her trip around 11 pm, Garbe had a shower.
Thanks to the steam caused by the hot water, a message appeared on the bathroom mirror saying, "There's a camera behind here" with a doodle of a camera flash.
"I'm freaking out, I get out of the shower and I call one of my bosses and I'm like 'What should I do?' and she's like 'You need to leave,'" Garbe recalled.
After going to the front desk she was told the rest of the hotel rooms were occupied so her only option was to stay or to check out and find another hotel.
Garbe does the latter and finds another hotel 30 minutes away which she immediately goes to with her hair still wet from the shower.
However, once she checks into her new room and FaceTimes her boyfriend, another terrifying incident occurs that leaves Garbe petrified.
The landline phone in her room started ringing and thinking she may have forgotten to hand over some payment information when checking in, Garbe picked up the phone.
"On the other end of the phone is an old man's voice," Garbe explained.
"And he was like, 'Hello, I've seen you in Dallas, I wanted to let you know I thought you were pretty, Grace.'"

Her "heart dropped to my stomach" and she told her boyfriend that she had to leave saying, "Someone is following me."
Garbe ended up staying at a colleague's apartment after contacting the police who came to the hotel but said they could not take action as there was no threat made towards her by the man on the phone.
She added that police cannot demand hotel phone records but when asked for them, the man at the front desk said no calls had been made to Garbe's room that night.
Garbe called it a "lesson in why you need to take precautions when staying in a hotel, especially by yourself."

Viewers of the video were left stunned by the two incidents with one saying, "OMG why did they say you received no phone calls? That would have given me chills."
"That's absolutely terrifying," another added.
"I wouldn't sleep in peace again after that," a third wrote.
Meanwhile, some female viewers shared their safety hacks for when traveling alone.
"I always ask for two room keys when traveling alone for work hoping the front desk will think someone is with me," one said.
