"They haven't consulted us or provide you with signs or double yellow strains on one aspect of the street.

"They've simply slapped this ban on without giving us any ideas and left us in a bun battle. It is rather heavy-handed, ill-thought-out and very irresponsible."

Scott Arthur, City of Edinburgh Council's transport and surroundings convener, stated he had faith in drivers realising that they're blocking a street while parking their automotive.

He added: "If a driver can't park with all 4 wheels on the street with out blocking visitors, we might encourage them to park elsewhere. Neither parking on the footpath nor blocking the street is protected or acceptable."

One other native resident, Linda Gariock, informed the BBC: "[Drivers] need to park on the pavement because otherwise no visitors can go down the slender streets right here but I'm very a lot towards it.

"There should solely be parking on one aspect of the street.

"Individuals with buggies and wheelchairs can't get past and they are having to go on the street the place they might get knocked down. It's selfish and completely ridiculous."
