Amal Clooney made quite a splash in Venice! The human rights lawyer, 46, arrived at a private party hosted by Cartier at the 81st Annual Venice International Film Festival on Saturday, Aug. 31, in a mermaid-inspired custom Bach Mai gown inspired by the finale dress of the designer's Resort 2023 collection, called the "Lightening Storm" dress. The strapless, floor-length garment had shimmery fringe detailing at the bottom and featured an ombré effect that started at the stone-colored napa lamb bodice and transitioned into an aqua skirt that had shades of purple, including wisteria, along the hemline.
