AN Applebee's restaurant in Texas has permanently closed its doors for good, leaving diners devastated.
The Waco establishment shut up shop for the final time on April 29.

A note was left on the window that apologized to loyal customers, per CBS affiliate KWTX-TV.
"From April 29th, 2024, this Applebee's is closed," it said.
"We regret any inconvenience it has caused our valued guests."
The note said the chain appreciated its customers and listed suggestions of other Applebee's restaurants fans could visit.
Pictures shared on social media showed signs promoting discounts being removed.
Applebee's has been a constant in Texas since 1980.
The chain has restaurants in major cities including Austin, Dallas, and Houston.
But news of the Waco restaurant's closure has sparked a frenzy on social media.
It has led to diners reminiscing on their memories when they visited the establishment.
"I went there often with my grandparents, I'm gunna miss it. This was our place," one fan said.

"Used to be a great place to go," a diner posted online.
Fans wondered how they would replicate classic dishes such as the chicken wonton tacos.

One suggested that Waffle House chiefs should open another location, while another touted the idea of an IHOP restaurant opening.
The closure of the Waco restaurant comes just months after bosses at the chain's parent company Dine Brands warned they expect to see between 25 and 35 net closures.
The U.S. Sun has approached Dine Brands for comment.
In February, an Applebee's restaurant in Antioch, California, called time after 25 years of business.
An Applebee's restaurant in Hudson, New York, is preparing to close.
Its final day will be May 19, according to ABC affiliate WTEN-TV.
Applebee's is not the only restaurant chain that has experienced closures.
Chiefs at Cracker Barrel, Denny's, and In-N-Out have taken tough decisions to shut stores.
Denny's and In-N-Out burger joints in Oakland, California, were forced to close due to crime.
A Chili's restaurant in Maine will be closing later this week, while a Waffle House establishment in Atlanta, Georgia, has shut.
